Hailing from the Bronx borough of NY, the Tisi family founded The Tisi Family Foundation, a not-for-profit organization with the overarching goal of bettering society. Initially launched to advance medical scientific research, provide support and education to families dealing with developmental conditions such as Autism, and to advance arts education, it has diversified since its inception to support an array of notable causes which can positively benefit humanity as a whole.

Each of the above-mentioned topics hits close to home for the Tisi family, with several members having experienced firsthand the positive effect that live-organ donations can have on those affected by conditions like Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). The staggering statistics demonstrate the immense need for more of these generous donors; 115,000 people are currently on the waiting list for a lifesaving transplant, and a single donor has the potential to save up to eight lives. Another item on the foundation’s agenda, is providing much-needed support and education for families navigating the often-tumultuous territory of developmental disorders such as Autism.
